Zoe's Club
Zoe's Club "Saving Money with Style!"
Zoe's Club is the youth savings account program created to teach our younger members the importance of financial literacy. Zoe is a 3 lb. Yorkshire Terrier earns the job as the credit union mascot and is hired to teach children the valuable lessons that lead to wise financial decisions.
Each jr. member receives a copy of the book Zoe Finds a Job, which teaches respect, responsibility, the importance of being kind-hearted, and making wise financial decisions through her story. As a result, she develops an attitude of gratitude, as expressed in the Zoe's Club jingle.
A student can earn six awards in Zoe's Club on:
- Community Service
- Mentoring
- Acts of Kindness
- Reading
- Financial Literacy
- Patriotism.
Each award has an idea board on Pinterest under https://www.pinterest.com/zoesclub/ to help them discover ways to earn the award. We encourage the parent/ guardian / or group leader to assist in this portion of the process. The child learns more when working together and creating fun times for the whole family. When children earn all of the awards from Zoe's Club, it will give them information to insert in their first portfolio to use when applying for a job. The community service award is created for documentation for scholarships when they are preparing for college—what a great way to encourage a child through their adult journey.
As a bonus, OFCU awards hard work. When your child has a Zoe's Club account, please bring their report card to any OFCU location, and your child will receive $5 per quarter, up to $20 a year, for being on the Honor Roll.
It only takes $5 to open a Zoe's Club youth savings account. Membership Eligibility Required. Please speak to a Member Service Representative for more details. Federally Insured by NCUA. No personal or private information is collected, stored, or used on behalf of a child participating in Zoe's Club at OFCU.
