We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2024 Ozark Federal Credit Union Scholarship! Each of these outstanding students has been selected by our independent Scholarship Committee to receive a $1,000 scholarship, a testament to their hard work, dedication, and academic excellence.

Emma Sutton from Poplar Bluff High School, who will be attending the University of Arkansas
Hannah Spencer from Poplar Bluff High School, who will be attending Missouri State University

Ozark Federal Credit Union will award up to three $1,000 scholarships each year. To qualify for the OFCU scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria: they should be active and in-good-standing member of OFCU, with a clear intention to enroll in an eligible institution. Eligible options include trade schools, vocational institutions, as well as accredited two or four-year brick-and-mortar or online colleges or universities in the United States.
Eligibility:
1. Must be a member of Ozark Federal Credit Union with all accounts in good standing for at least 12 months. A member in good standing is defined as one with an active checking account and no loan delinquencies. Membership is open to any of the following individuals: A. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the following counties: Bolinger, Butler, Carter, Cape Girardeau, Dent, Douglas, Dunklin, Howell, Iron, Madison, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Pemiscot, Perry, Renolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, St. Francois, St. Genevieve, Stoddard, Texas or Wayne. B. Immediate family members, of existing Ozark Federal Credit Union members (parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandchildren, grandparents, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, first cousin, or legal guardian).
2. Ozark Federal Credit Union Board of Directors, employees, and dependents are not eligible to participate.
3. Students who live, work, worship, or go to school in the following Missouri Counties: Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Dent, Douglas, Howell, Iron, Madison, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Pemiscot, Perry, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, St. Francois, St. Genevieve, Stoddard, Texas and Wayne. Eligibility also includes a spouse, parent, step-parent, grandparent, grandchild, child, sibling, or a person who shares a residence with an existing member.
4. College-bound student accepted or enrolled as an undergraduate student (for at least 6 credit hours per semester) for the 2024-2025 school year at an eligible, trade school, vocational institution, as well as accredited two or four-year brick-and-mortar or online colleges or universities in the United States.
5. Students must have a GPA of at least 2.7 on a 4.0 scale to be eligible.
6. If under 18 years of age, the parent/guardian must be aware that the student is registering for this scholarship and will be available to accept the prize on the student’s behalf, should the student become a scholarship winner.
7. The application must be submitted by the extended deadline of July 19, 2024.
