Each year three board of directors are up for election. Unlike other financial institutions, the nine-member board for Ozark FCU is elected by the membership. The Board of Directors has nominated three incumbents with expiring terms who have agreed to run again. The three incumbents are:
Chad Henson– Mr. Henson has served on the Board of Directors since 2022 and is a successful businessman in Southeast Missouri. He is a past County Commissioner in Wayne County and owns and operates Henson Trash service. His family have been active members in the communities they serve for many years.
Keith Hale– Mr. Hale has served on the Board of Directors since 2001. Mr. Hale is a local business owner and uses his experience to provide sound business advice and guidance on the services that benefit the institution's membership and financial structure.
Sharron Payne– Mrs. Payne has served on the board of directors since 1998. Ms. Payne retired from the Public Administrator Office for Butler County in 2021 and served on numerous committees on the state and local levels. Her knowledge and experience in many areas show her passion for protecting and helping our members. Sharron also serves on the Personnel committee and Supervisory Committee.
Any member in good standing may submit their name for nomination by petition. The petition must be signed by at least 1% of the total membership (164 members) and accompanied by a written statement of qualifications, biographical data, and signed information that he/she is willing to serve as a board member and that he/she understands the responsibility and liability associated with the position.
Members must be in good standing to run and serve on the board. Any qualifying member may stop by the main facility on Katy Lane to receive a job description, rules, and regulations concerning duties and liabilities, as well as a questionnaire to complete.
The deadline for nomination by petition is due April 27, 2025. Should there be more candidates added, there will be a mail ballot election held in May 2025. The election results will be announced at the 73rd Annual Meeting, time and date to be determined.
